Privacy policy

Short version: Bileteles has no accounts, no tracking and no ads, and sells nothing. It collects almost no data. Here is exactly what happens.
What we process
Your IP address. Like any website, Bileteles receives your IP address with each request (through Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site). It is used strictly to rate-limit abuse and may appear in short-lived server logs. It is not linked to an identity and is never used for tracking, profiling or advertising.
Gameplay data, in memory only. The name you type, your words, the score and chat exist only in the server's memory for the life of the room. Nothing is written to a database. When everyone leaves, the room and everything in it are gone.
Functional storage on your device. Small preferences (such as sound on/off and language) are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. There are no tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
What we do not do
No accounts, no email, no login. No analytics, no trackers, no advertising. No selling or sharing of data. No cross-site tracking and no profiles.
Who else is involved
Cloudflare provides DNS, CDN and proxy protection in front of the site, so it processes traffic and sees IP addresses as part of delivering and protecting Bileteles. The game itself runs on a rented server (VPS). Both act as technical processors; server logs are short-lived and rotate.
Legal basis and retention
Processing the IP for rate-limiting and short logs rests on a legitimate interest in keeping the service available and free of abuse. Logs are kept only briefly and rotate. In-memory gameplay data lasts only as long as the room is open.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, and you may lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP). In practice Bileteles holds almost no data and nothing that identifies you, so there is usually little to act on, but you are welcome to get in touch.
Children
Bileteles is not directed at children. It is a general-audience party game meant to be played with friends.
